Juanita

My mom is 46 years old. She works for Joe Lisi as an accountant for all the Buy-Rite stores on the Island. My mom has a brother and sister who are twins. Fun fact - my mom's actual name is Elizabeth, but since her mom has the same name they switched the name Elizabeth with her middle name Juanita. Her actual name is Elizabeth Juanita Hughes. My mom gave birth to me when she was 30. As you already read in my 'All About Me' section, we found out in November that she has 10% kidney function, this made us become closer as a family and we don't argue as much as we used to.

Scott

My dad is 42 years old and works as a custodian at UPEI. My dad has four sisters and two brothers. Dad doesn't have another name other than Scott. Even though sometimes Dad and I do butt heads, it's usually over something stupid, and that was just before when I was a little younger, and before I realized how fast people and life can change and how fast they can be taken from you.

Brett

My brother is 11 years old and is in grade six. Right now he hopes to become an MBA basketball player when he gets old enough. Obviously his bars are set extremely high but hey, if that is what his heart is set on that's all that matters but I guarantee you his mind will change so many times, it will be unreal. We agrue and fight a lot, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jack Hughes

He is my Dad's father, he was 72 years old when he passed away in Feburary 2005. Back in his day he was a carpenter, and he also recorded a CD called "Jack Hughes, Songs From The Past". It's not hard to see that he loves his music.

Anita Hughes

She is my dad's mom and she is 82 years old, and you probably wouldn't believe that if you seen her, because she still goes and goes as if she's 30 years old. She didn't and still doesn't have a job. Since her husband Jack passed away she moved to an apartment in Stratford, and loves everything and everyone there.

Elizabeth "Lee" Affleck

She is my mom's mother and she's 67 years old. She is a retired custodian but still substitutes for people at different schools. If you were to see what she does all the time and how she's always on the go, you wouldn't believe that she is the age she is and also you probably wouldn't believe that she has had a knee replacement. She's always on the go, and to be honest I couldn't imagine, her not being here because she is the one I get my loudness from.

Percy Affleck

He is my mom's father, and he passed away when he was 62. He worked with a construction company. He was by far my best friend, we were both so close. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing I've had to do. When he passed away I was 10 years old, and me and him were super close.
